Q. Is e-learning better than c-learning in grammar teaching and grammar learning in terms of achievement and transfer? Are grammar points more easily taught/ learned through CALL?

Specifics - we are creating e -learning environment and c- learning environment.

Materials -

e-learning - websites that teaches tense and sentence structures, ditto on wiki (doing together and collaborating), pencil, teacher as a guide.  

c-learning - white board, paper & pencil, teacher, grammar books, and dittos.  

Procedures:

1.)recruit enough participants

2.)pretests

3.)assigning participants to either e-learning or c-learning

4.)teaching e-learning and c-learning

5.) post test (formative assessment)/TEST/RETEST REDESIGN(SAME TESTS OR DIFFERENT TESTS...SAME FORMAT BUT DIFFERENT WAY)

Measures- 

1.) one traditional testing

    -  the same concepts will be tested and in the same way for e-learning and c-learning.  Its going to test the basic understanding of the tenses and sentence structures.  They will also have an essay to complete on a given topic; hence grammar should be close to perfect---test the grammar before and after; which test group has progressed further.  

2.) problem solving (situational)- interview...given a questions and they answer in questions.

What are we going to observe?

1.) once having pretests and post tests. we will observe which type of instruction has made more progression.  

How are we going to score?

1.) create graph for c-learning pretests and post tests

2.) create graph for e-learning pretests and post tests and comparing the progression.  

Recruit:

age: graduate students or high school students (maybe)

how many: 10 for each instruction=20 total

Time: 30mins for the whole procedure/2 days

Schedule:

This weekend: website research and compile it all  

By Monday:Pretests and Post tests/essay question/same as interview

For the post and pretests have incorrect sentences and have them correct it and essay topic.
